The church has misrepresented the Gospel for generations. They wonder why attendance is down. They wonder why people don't want anything to do with Christians. Personelly I prefer the term believer. Christian was not a title used by the early church. This title has many different meanings behind it. Wars have been started in the name of Christianity. Christians are mean and judgmental. They separate themselves from unbelievers. We are to love and teach the gospel (good news) to everyone. God is not judging, condemning, angry or out to get sinners. Now this is not every believer, just the majority.
Christ died on the cross and took our sins, judgment, condemnation and God's anger. We live in the New Testament which actually means new convenant. We don't look to the old testament (old convenat) for judgment, righteousness or condemnation. Since the cross of Jesus there is nothing we can do to earn our salvation or righteousness. If we sin God isn't going to throw us into hell. But if we do not believe in Jesus and who God says He is, then we will not escape hell. But this belief in Him must be a heart felt belief. Not a belief in our mind. Believe me when you experience God, you will not look else where.
I've seen many Christians openly condemning homosexuals and saying that God hates you and that you're going to hell. Let's get some things straight. First of all God lovers every human equally. Whether they believe in Him or not. Now this next statement will cause anger so hang on. If you believe in your heart that God is who He says He is and that Christ came to this earth as a man and died on the cross for you, then you are saved. And if you committ a homosexual act after this belief,or any sin. You will go to heaven. It has nothing to do with what we do that gets us into heaven. It has do with what Jesus did. Now this is not limited to homsexuallity, but to every sin. Jesus said if you are guilty of one of the laws, then you are guilty of them all.

God loves us no matter what!
